Dr. Athba Alqahtani is a Senior Clinical Research Specialist at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC). I received my PhD in Clinical Oncology and Therapy from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. I worked at Southmead Hospital in the United Kingdom as a Research Associate focusing on breast cancer therapy before I decided to join KFMC. Being a scientist has opened several opportunities and provided me with recognition not only nationally, but also internationally. I have been invited to many international conferences and published several papers throughout my PhD and thereafter. In addition, I have designed projects pertaining to diabetes induced cancers for Maters and undergraduate students.  I also co supervised junior staff to demonstrate laboratory skills and help advancing their research projects. I seek every opportunity that reflects on society’s needs and I am constantly eager in building national human capital that would actively make real contributions to society.
